John Rhodes
John Rhodes PE has been working at Shell refining and petrochemical assets for 17 years. He has performed roles in Environmental, Process, Process Safety, and Reliability Engineering. A common aspect of these areas is incident investigation and problem-solving. John has developed expertise in Shell's investigation and problem-solving method, Causal Learning. He currently leads a team of engineers and operation specialists to tackle complex and long-term problems at the Shell Norco site.

Using Enhanced Problem-Solving Teams (EPST) to Solve Complex ProblemsShell uses dedicated multi-discipline problem-solving teams known as Enhanced Problem-Solving Teams (EPST) to help solve complex problems with deep safety and production implications. This presentation will be given by a member of the EPST at the Shell Energy and Chemicals Park in Norco, LA. The presentation will include a brief background of the idea of EPSTs, as well as an example investigation relating to a reliability problem.
