Chris E. Gilmore, PE, PMP

Chris E. Gilmore, Director of Engineering, provides the Port of New Orleans with over 25 years of engineering design, project management, and construction management experience. Prior to joining Port NOLA, Mr. Gilmore served as a Sr. Project Manager at the US Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District. In that role he was vital to the successful completion of a significant portion of the post-Katrina hurricane risk reduction system. Mr. Gilmore’s design and management skills encompass a variety of civil works projects ranging from small ecosystem restoration projects to delivering over $3.0 billion of the post Hurricane Katrina risk reduction projects. Mr. Gilmore also served as the U.S. liaison to an international team of storm surge barrier experts. He is a lifelong resident of South Louisiana and a Graduate of the University of New Orleans.

The Louisiana International Terminal – The challenges of delivering Louisiana’s next container terminal.

This presentation will provide an overview of the Louisiana International Terminal and the various challenges that the team has and will continue to face in delivering this $1.8B project.
