Mr. David Rigby is the Launch and Re-Entry Space Vehicles Flight Engineering Capability Leader for all rocket based propulsion systems within Boeing Defense, Space, and Security. During his tenure in the aerospace industry, Mr. Rigby has worked on a variety of space vehicles including Space Launch System (SLS), Commercial Crew Transportation Capability (CCtCAP), Ares 1 Upper Stage, Space Shuttle Orbiter, and other space related products.
In addition, Mr. Rigby has worked in other high technology industries with Intel and in the public safety realm as a flight paramedic with Hermann Hospital Life Flight in Houston and with Portland Oregon 9-1-1 emergency communications center.
Mr. Rigby began his career as a spaceflight operations controller for the Space Shuttle propulsion systems at Johnson Space Center in 1987 after graduating from The University of Texas at Austin in Mechanical Engineering. He later earned his master’s degree in adult education from The University of Houston – Clear Lake and has additional graduate level education in psychology and organizational communication.
